Freddie King
Freddie King

Freddie King was an American blues guitarist and singer. His early death at the age of 42 cut short a prolific career of recording and performing, with many studio albums and a number of chart successes to his name, most notably the Top 40 hit “Hide Away”. His output sits majestically in the crown of the Chicago style blues guitar repertoire, but in the mature end of his career a distinctly tight funk style is also perceptible. Freddie King is placed at 15th in the Rolling Stones list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time and has also been inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
